WRVO September 8th Discovery Cruise!

 New England/Canada 7-night cruise on

the Caribbean Princess

As avid independent and cruise travelers, and 20-year WRVO supporters, we are very happy to offer the first fundraising cruise for the benefit of our local station.

Welcome aboard the Caribbean Princess!  Join WRVO on their first Discovery Cruise, with NPR personality Carl Kasell.

On Saturday, September 8, 2012, we'll be leaving the Oswego, Syracuse, and Utica areas, via air-conditioned tour bus, traveling to NYC where we'll stop and visit the newly opened 9/11 Memorial before heading to the ship at the Brooklyn pier, and boarding the beautiful Caribbean Princess for a 7-night, roundtrip cruise to Canada and New England.  Return transportation will be included. 

The itinerary takes in some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the world, with ports of call that allow you to step back into the colonial America of Boston, view the beautiful vistas atop Maine's Acadia National Park, visit St. John, NB, Bay of Fundy or the caves at St. Martin's, wander tiny fishing villages of Nova Scotia, and marvel at the splendors of the summerhouse "cottages" of the Gilded Age in Newport. Your choices of shore excursions are endless from hiking to bicyling, kayaking to wine tasting, historical tours to shopping!  

If you'd like to spend some time in New York City prior to or after the cruise, consider a pre- or post-cruise land package that puts you in the middle of this vibrant city.  We'll be glad to set up hotel accommodations, with suggestions of what to see and do.

Informational Cruise Nights are set for six (6) nights throughout the Central New York area for your convenience and open to the public - so mark your calendars!  All presentations will begin at 6:30pm, coffee, tea, and water will be served, and plenty of time for questions and answers.  Click on city below for venue location:
