Join the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce and Boyer Travel for a well-deserved winter break to the beautiful island country of the Dominican Republic at the Riu Palace Bavaro in Punta Cana. Not only is this the perfect time to leave the Central New York weather behind, but it's a fundraiser for the Chamber's Foundation, and open to the public!
Relax on the white-sand beach (considered one of the most beautiful in the world), or at the lovely resort pools, soaking up the Caribbean sun while enjoying a refreshing island drink!
Accommodations are in the Bavaro's Junior Suites - both pool view and garden view. With a minimum of three night's stay, you can add as many additional days as you like to fit your personal schedule. Prices include accommodations, all your food and beverages, taxes, gratuities, and transfers to/from the Punta Cana airport.
The Riu Palace Bavaro is a mid-size resort and sits on the beachfront of Arena Gorda in a complex shared with four other Riu resorts, whose amenities you are invited to enjoy along with those of the Bavaro. Play tennis or volleyball, try windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, and other water activities.
Off resort you can play golf or enjoy horseback riding. You can also book a tour of local sugar fields, Saona Island, or visit the Marinarium marine park. In the evening you can enjoy live entertainment and music, the "Pacha" club, or the "El Millon" Casino.
The Bavaro boasts the "Krystal" fusion restaurant, the "Geisha" for Japanese, the "La Bambola" for Italian, and the "Taino" grill and steakhouse - along with its popular "Montecristo" main dining room with live cooking stations. Try the "Daiquiri" lobby bar, the 24 hour Sports Bar, "Capuchino" for great Dominican coffees, pastries and ice cream, and several pool and lounge bars.
The "Renova Spa" provides massages and a variety of treatments, while the fitness center takes away the guilt!
There's free wifi in all the guest rooms and public spaces, in-room liquor dispensers, mini bars, and bottled water, and all the amenities you'd find at a fine hotel - but all included!
